Throughout my professional career, I have been in positions to help people. It has either been through teaching as a school teacher; helping with financial issues as a banker; or with health problems. But all of these individuals were adults. There is no greater satisfaction than to see hope swell up in a child’s eyes after bonding with a male mentor or positive role model. I have been blessed to be able to get that feeling daily as I reach out to boys in my assigned area of the city, Whitehaven.
